THE WAY of knowing that all appearances of luminosity do not just arise externally is to realize that no one but you can see them. Knowing that awareness naturally arises as radiance is the innermost crucial point for not mistaking awareness to be externally or internally independent. Know this! Although it is a supreme crucial point to know that the dynamic strength of space and awareness mingle inseparably: if one apprehends space externally and awareness internally and, hence, presumes that inseparability means the coalescence of outer and inner, that presumption will be just a heavy veil of dualistic apprehension. This is a narrow passageway that leads in the wrong direction.
要知道一切光明显现并非仅在外部生起，就应了知：除自己外，没有别人能看见它们。知道觉性自然显为光辉，是不误认觉性在外或在内独立存在的最内在要点。应当明白！虽说知道法界与觉性之妙力无别相融，是最胜要点，但若把法界执为外在、觉性执为内在，进而推想不二就是内外合并，这种推想只是二取执著的厚重帷幕，是通往错误方向的狭窄通道。
Well then, listen! This is my sacred, final testament for those who are the supreme vessels for these teachings, such as Ahbhi, who is a lineage holder of mine, Padma. When directly encountering the buddha of self-originating awareness, trust in yourself to abide in the uncontrived nature. When viewing the dynamic strength of the purity and evenness of saṃsāra and enlightenment, recognize how to enter the path free from fixation or attachment. When seeing the fundamental nature of the great perfection as it is, trust in this alone without searching for the buddha or cause and effect elsewhere. When seeing the magnificent appearances of clear light, recognize the process of immediate self-liberation and be free from the restrictions of grasping and clinging. Since—from the first moment of arising—clear light has been the radiance of self-occurring awareness, understand that the key point of abiding is to relax, without focus, upon this nature. Since words and their meanings involve characteristics: when the profound instructions that are free of characteristics are brought to the path of explanations, using words to explain this is like trying to know the mountain closest to you by looking at the mountain in the distant valley. Be skillful in knowing these key points.
那么，听着！这是我对这些教法最胜法器——例如我莲花生的传承持有者阿毗〔Ahbhi〕——所留的神圣最后嘱托。当直接遇见自生觉性佛时，应信任自己，安住无造作本性。当见到轮涅清净平等之妙力时，应认明如何无执无贪地入道。当如实见到大圆满根本本性时，唯信此义，不往他处寻找佛或因果。当见到明光壮丽显现时，应认明当下自解脱之过程，不受攀缘执著束缚。因为明光从初生刹那起，就是自生觉性的光辉，应明白安住的要点，是无所缘地放松于此本性。由于言辞与义理涉及特征，当把离相的甚深教授带入解释之道，以语言解释它，就像望着远谷的山，想认识离自己最近的山。应善巧了知这些要点。
Even though instructions tell one to “focus on pure awareness,” do not confuse the focus-conscious intellect with natural resting in the fundamental nature as it is. Since all of the appearances of clear light are the self-radiance of one’s own clarity, know the key point of not apprehending externally, internally, or in between. Since the eye of prajñā gives way to the eye of wisdom and that wisdom is rendered evident, know this to be a supreme crucial point.
即使教授说“专注清净觉性”，也不可把有意识专注的心智，与如实自然安住根本本性混为一谈。明光一切显现，都是自身明性的自辉，因此应知不向外、向内或于中间执取的要点。般若眼让位于智慧眼，智慧由此显明；应知这是最胜要点。
